Castle Cary Rugby Football Club are looking to appoint an Assistant Coach.

The Assistant will report directly to the Coach.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility is to plan, prepare and deliver coaching sessions for the second team squad.
• To ensure that all sessions are designed to develop the skills and understanding of the players in your squad.
• To arrange coaching sessions with 1st XV
• To evaluate all coaching sessions and games with the coaching team and players.
• To mentor and advise players where appropriate.
• Provide feedback to players and relevant coaches.

Skills and qualities:

• Minimum Level 1 Coach
• Commitment and enthusiasm: this position will require a time commitment involving evenings and some weekends for training and matches.
• Planning: the Assistant Coach has some responsibility for planning the coaching programme for the season.
• Rugby knowledge: it is expected that the Coach will have the required level of knowledge to enable the players to achieve their potential.
