A must win game for Cary proved to be the pressure they needed to play some outstanding rugby with a strong performance from the entire team, under the guidance of their deputy skipper, Ben Snook.

A man of the match performance came from Paul Hoggett, head of PE at Ansford Community School, at inside centre. The forwards produced quick rucking for the backs to run some well rehearsed moves and some great lines. Tom Newth and Seb Dyer playing in the back row also produced some great rugby, leading to the first of two tries from Brendan Hickman at full back.

Subsequent tries were secured by Nathan Evans and Jamie Smith (2), with the try of the match coming from James Atkins, who came on to the field as a sub at 55 minutes, only to score at 57 minutes following some great off-loads from the backs, enabling Atkins to run in support and touch down under the posts. Hickman added a total of four conversions.
