Cary had a strong opening half, with tries from Guy Clothier and Seb Dyer and a conversion from John Clay, which left the half-time score in the visitors' favour at 0-12. However, the brutality of the second half of play led to several Cary injuries and despite a try from Tom Hutchinson, the game concluded with a Norton victory.
