Cary set the scene with a strong try from Australian Jules in the opening minutes of play, followed by further tries from Gareth Watts and Jamie Smith. The Cary pack worked hard to retain possession despite good mauls from the hosts. Gareth Watts added his second try, to leave the score at 0-22 in the visitors' favour at half time.

The second half saw stronger play from Tor and changes in some of the Cary positions, with newcomer Paul Hoggett on the wing, Harold Dustan at scrum-half, and Tommy Hemsworth as hooker.

Despite Cary giving away several penalties, good hands from the backs led to further tries from Ariel Soto, Hemsworth and Smith, who ran the length of the pitch for his touch down. Conversions were secured by Ben Snook.

Cary's Man of the Match was awarded to Guy Clothier.
