Castle Cary went away to Wells with a squad of 23 players. Wells put out a very strong side, the game was played in fine spirit.

Wells scored most of their tries in the first half assisted by Cary's poor tackling.

The second half was more evenly matched. The best move from Cary was when a kick was charged down and gathered up by Jason French who passed it out to Matthew Knight who scored between the posts. Jason French converted the try.
