Cary were delighted with an excellent performance away to Blandford. After a cautious start, the Cary pack started to pick and drive, giving the backs room to run with the ball and open up play.

Blandford held on with dogged determination for ten minutes until Cary opened the flood gates in the first half, going in at half-time leading 31–0.

In the second half, Blandford came back firmly with a try of their own in the first ten minutes of play. Cary had to dig deep until an opening came for a further two tries late in the game.

Castle Cary's Man of the Match was T.J. Thomas.

A very evenly fought match with Warminster's larger pack having the edge. After a half-time score of 0–12, Cary came out with renewed vigour.

Chris Wake opened the scoring for Cary with a quick penalty followed by sustained pressure and a lightning break by captain, Andy Key.

Warminster retaliated by scoring two tries and a conversion but Cary continued to battle. Devon Waine was prevented from grounding the ball to score the try but the referee awarded a penalty try, which Chris Wake converted.

A good performance by Cary, with Man of the Match being awarded to Devon Waine.
