A very strong visiting side and even though they had a bigger scrum, the Castle Cary scrum held its own against Claverdon. The half-time score was 0–10. Chris Wake went on to score the only Cary try. Very much an evenly matched game but the sheer size of the Claverdon team was ultimately the deciding factor.
