The hosts had a strong start, with the scores at 24–0 at half time. However, Cary fought back in the second half with a much improved performance that showed great promise. Cary's efforts were rewarded with a try by Jordan Smith, converted by Peter Key. Man of the Match was awarded to Ben Culpin.
