Ivel Barbarians Ladies v CCRFC Ladies

Cary travelled to Ivel with 11 players, but lent the hosts two in order to even the numbers at 9-a-side.

Despite Cary losing quite heavily in a friendly fixture to an experienced Ivel side, Cary coach James Atkins was pleased with the team's performance since all of the Cary squad were playing out of position.

Good debut performances were made by Julia Maunder and Antonia Maunder, and Woman of the Match was awarded to Christine Barham at fly-half, who also touched down a try.

 
 
 
 
 
The subsequent try was made by scrum half Michelle Reynolds, with Jess Harrison adding the conversion.
