With probably the best start to a game that Cary have ever had, it wasn't long before scores were claimed, with Arial Soto touching down after a blistering run from Man of the Match, Jock Waterall, who outpaced most of the Minehead back line.

This set the pace of the game, one which Minehead could not handle, with further breaks from centres Paul Hoggett and Ben Snook creating and making big gaps in an already tired defence. Blindside flanker Jules Stambe contributed a try and was another contender for Man of the Match with superb tackling, ripping and running. Gareth Watts played out of position at number 10 and also rose to the occasion.

With three tries apiece for Lee Harding and John Clay, the second half saw Cary relax sufficiently to let in a try through giving away too many penalties. All credit to the Minehead side who never let their heads go down and deserved the consolation try through good hard forward work. Tries were also made by Nathan Evans, Peter Rose and Paul Hoggett, with two conversions from Ben Snook and one from Guy Clothier.
